Panaji: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today met Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari during his visit to New Delhi and discussed the progress of various ongoing National Highway projects in the State.
During the course of discussions the Chief Minister conveyed the apprehensions of the people regarding the highway expansion on Anmod Ghat and sought his intervention for early completion of ongoing Sada-Varanapuri highway works.
Goa BJP president Sadanand Shet Tanavade was also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister had discussions with the Minister for Railways and Commerce and Industries, Piyush Goyal during his visit to New Delhi.
The Chief Minister also had healthy interaction on availing assistance for further development of basic and modern infrastructure in the State of Goa with Mr Chintala Chairman of NABARD.
The Chief Minister also met and discussed with Union Minister of Shipping Mansukh Mandaviya yesterday and conveyed sentiments of the people of Goa regarding coal handling. Mandaviya assured to look into the matter.
