PANAJI: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar said discussions with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) are expected to be held either today or tomorrow. He said the earlier meeting could not take place as RGP leaders Viresh Borkar and Valmiki Naik were busy.
However, with the Goa Forward Party (GFP) yet to take a decision on its alliance, Congress is awaiting clarity from the party before moving ahead with broader alliance discussions.
Chodankar also alleged that a former BJP office-bearer currently holding a senior government position helped secure a casino donation for the BJP’s new party office. Questioning the alleged funding, he asked the BJP to clarify how much “share” it had received from the casino.
Taking a dig at the BJP, Chodankar suggested that the new party office could instead be described as “Casino Bhawan”, while demanding transparency over the source of the alleged contribution.
