CANACONA – Goa Congress, Canacona Block holds its first Lok Sabha preparatory meeting in Canacona on Wednesday.
GPCC President Amit Patkar, in the presence of Lok Sabha MP(South) Francisco Sardhinha, Canacona Congress Block president Abel Tome Borges chaired the meeting and guided on the preparatory works that needs to be done to win back the South -Goa, a well-known Congress bastion for the party. ‘We, have no doubt, Canacona voters give a crucial lead to congress, to again win the 2024 MP seat for the party’., Patkar.
The congress leaders sought to strengthen the Congress party in Canacona, appoint booth-wise coordinators at every Booth and decided to appoint a team of 5 Committee members to work with booth-level leaders, oversee the party’s progress to strengthening the organization at grassroot level.
GPCC Vice-president Subash Phaldessai, General Secretary’s Everson Vales and Moreno Rebello, Indian National Congress – South Goa President Savio D’silva Canacona Block President Abel Borges, Goa Pradesh Youth Congress -Vice President Vaishnav Pednekar and other functionaries took part in the discussion on various modalities to be applied as a preparation of Lok Sabha Elections.
