PANAJI: The nurses working on contract in the Health department have demanded regular employment and a hike in salaries.
In a letter to the CM and health minister, the nurses (ANMs) said that they are around 250 nurses who worked on contr4act even during the COVID19 pandemic.
“As your recent advertisement in the newspaper made it clear that those who worked for the Covid pandemic will give first preference while giving confirmed job. Please Consider that our contract will be renewed till we get a confirmed job as we are still working for Covid 19 pandemic,” he said.
They also requested to increase the monthly pay of contract ANM’sthat is 800/day for those who are on bond and also of NHM ANM/MPHW(F) and also give us a Provident Fund Scheme annual increment and those who are still on bond with effect from 01/10/2019 give them a regular contract.
