LATAMBARCEM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today announced that the Solid Waste Management Plant will be coming up at Curchorem by December.
“We are proud today that the Solid Waste Management Plant at Saligao is one of its kind and the rates number 1 in the whole of Asia. Now by December, another plant will be coming up at Curchorem,” said CM Sawant.
He urged the people to keep the identity of Goa.
“Issue of Garbage menace cannot be solved just with the garbage projects, but it requires public participation,” said CM Sawant
The Chief Minister also said that people should change the tendency to look at how we are dealing with the garbage issue.
The project is under the aegis of the Department of Science, Technology and Waste Management and Goa Waste Management Corporation (GWMC).
