RIBANDAR: Cyber Crime Police Station, Ribandar, has initiated an inquiry on receipt of complaints from Amit Pinto and Brucelee Quadros, both residents of Margao.
They have complained that some unknown person/s are circulating defamatory morphed photos and messages with false allegations of distributing money to people to vote for a particular party.
They have alleged that thereby the accused have not only tarnished the image of the complainants in society but also created an environment of hatred and animosity within the community.
The Cyber Crime unit has warned people to desist from such practice as the senders shouldn’t consider that they are anonymous.
The law would catch up with them and that the offenders would be brought to justice. The complaints are being enquired by Cyber Crime Police Station.
