PANAJI: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announced that the ₹460 crore redesign project of the Dabolim airport road is progressing steadily and is expected to be completed by July 2026.
Providing updates on key infrastructure initiatives, Gadkari also revealed that the long-pending four-laning of the Mumbai-Goa highway will be completed within the next three to four months.
“This will reduce the travel time between Goa and Mumbai to just 5–6 hours,” he stated.
In another major development, the Minister informed that work on the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the ₹12,000 crore Borim bridge project has already commenced, signaling further investment in strengthening Goa’s road and transport infrastructure.
These projects are part of the Centre’s broader push to enhance connectivity, safety, and travel efficiency across the region.
