PANAJI: Goa State Expert Appraisal Committee (Goa-SEAC) has recommended granting of prior Environment Clearance to Deltin Town project at Dhargalim, Pernem under certain general and Specific conditions. The decision was taken in the 180th meeting of Goa-SEAC. The proposal will now go for approval and permissions from other authorities such as Goa State Environment Impact Authority, Goa State Pollution Control Board, Standing Committee of the National Board for wildlife etc. Goa Government had already granted approval to the the construction of the Rs 3,000 crore integrated resort-cum-casino township at Dhargal comprising of 3 hotels, a convention centre, a multiplex, a shopping area, a water park, banquet facilities, and a kids’ play area spread in around 90 acres land near Mopa Airport.
The meeting also specified Terms of Reference(TOR) for expansion of Shirdi Steel & Rollers Private Limited , Cuncolim Industrial Estate for increasing production capacity from 100000 TPA to 150000TPA. Project Proponent need to get feedback from the local Community on the pollution aspect, stated th Goa-SEAC
