PANAJI: Chandu V. Korgaonkar, photographer with the Department of Information and Publicity (DIP), was conferred with the prestigious ‘Patrakar Mitra’ honour during the Lokmanya Tilak Punyatithi programme organised by the Sanguem-Quepem Patrakar Sangh at Sanvordem.
The award was presented by Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phal Dessai and Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar in recognition of Korgaonkar’s dedication and significant contribution to journalism and the media fraternity.
The Department of Information and Publicity described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of his sincerity, commitment and professional excellence in documenting events of public importance through photography.
Congratulating Korgaonkar on the achievement, the department expressed confidence that he would continue to capture moments that inspire, inform and preserve history, while wishing him many more accolades in his professional journey.
