The Directorate of Education (DoE) today issued a detail standard operating procedure (SOP) for partial re-opening of classes for Std X and XII from November 21.
After a gap of almost six months, the schools will re-open for the current academic year 2020-21. The school reopening was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
As per the SOP, the number of students in each class is restricted to 12 only. In case of small classroom, classes are permitted to be held in larger areas like computer room, laboratories or library, with physical distance of 6 feet between the students.
The schools can also opt for Odd-Even formula for classes so also to run the schools into shift in case of high enrolment, by reducing time duration.
The students presence in the classroom has to be staggered manner.
Thermal scanning, wearing of mask, physical distancing, use of sanitizer are mandatory for all.
The teachers, staffers and other school visitors have to compulsorily download Arogya Setu App.
Students are directed not to exchange any study material including text books, note books, paper, pen, pencil, so also the food and drinking items.
During the school hours, there is ban on conduct of physical education activities like sports and games; however, yoga will be permitted in staggered manner.
The school are asked to prepare time table in such a manner that there will be no crowd in the school.
