CORJUEM: Two persons have been arrested by Mapusa police in the Goljuve, Corjuem, youth attack case.
The accused are identified as Digant Naik (age 24 years) and Usman Khan (age 29 years).
The duo had attacked 23-year-old Pranav Phadte with a sharp weapon on February 15, right in front of his home at Goljuve allegedly over previous enmity.
On February 15, three people attacked one Pranav Phadte (23) in front of his home at Goljuve, Aldona, with sharp weapons. Two of the accused are unidentified, while the third has been identified as Digan Naik (Dongri).
“I have previously written to the police about patrolling on a regular basis in the village since there are anti-social elements sitting at the bundh and other places, drinking, smoking, and causing nuisance to public,” said Ferreira.
Pranav’s mother, Rekha, said that stern action should be taken against those who attacked her son.
