PONDA: Ponda Police, led by PI Vijaykumar Chodankar, arrested Eight accused of stealing 15.70 lakh goods from Kundaim Industrial Estate.
The accused persons are r/o Bhoma, Ponda, and Goa, working as scrap dealers beside four security guards in the vicinity of Kundaim Industrial Estate.
Ponda Police team successfully cracked the blind theft case at Vrindavan Polymers Pvt Ltd at IDC Kundaim reported on 23 by arresting the seven culprits involved in stealing 501 bags of plastic raw materials worth Rs. 15,70,000/-
Those arrested security guards include Sujit Goala, Aged 26, Papu Goala, Aged 22 Yrs, Sumatlal Goala, Aged 28 Yrs, and Manoj Goala, Aged 26. Yrs all security guards and n/o Assam, while three scrap dealers who purchased the stolen goods arrested include Salman Khan, aged 23 Yrs, Sabir Khan, Aged 34 Yrs, Faizal Khan, Aged 29 Yrs all scrap dealers and r/o Bhoma, Ponda, Goa. One accused residing at Varkhandem was also arrested.
During the investigation, technical surveillance was mounted, and local intelligence was deployed; input was received that four security guards, now arrested and working in the vicinity, had suspiciously gone out of sight immediately after the theft at IDC Kundaim.
Accordingly, a discreet watch was maintained.
They were eventually apprehended and interrogated at length, admitting to having committed the crime and further disclosing the names of three scrap dealers at Bhoma.
