PANAJI: Panaji Police have registered an FIR and arrested eight persons in connection with an alleged affray near SOHO Club, Panaji, in the early hours of August 23, 2026.
According to Goa Police, the complaint was lodged by PSI Manjunath Naik of Panaji Police Station. The incident reportedly took place between 4 am and 4.45 am, when the accused allegedly formed a group and started abusing and assaulting each other with fist blows and kicks at a public place, disturbing peace and tranquillity in the area.
The arrested persons have been identified as Prachay Prakash Kolapte (21), Jaydon Joe Rebello (19), Alroy Antonsh Veagas (22), Ashbel Roshmon Ferrao (22), Mukesh Ram Singh (21), Roydon Trevor Misquita (22), Joy Joao Fernandes (22) and Joseph Silvester Cardozo (21).
An offence has been registered under Sections 194(2), 115(2) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
Goa Police said it remains committed to maintaining public order and ensuring safe streets across the state.
