PANAJI: A leadership workshop was held for the newly elected Student Council and class representatives of Don Bosco College, Panjim. The event featured two distinguished speakers who provided valuable insights and practical skills essential for student leadership.
The first session was led by Ms. Rina Barreto Shankar, the founder and owner of Cheree Tree Concepts, a Brand Growth Agency. Ms. Rina focused on key aspects of leadership, including the power of delegation, the importance of resilience, and the significance of empathy, influence, and responsibility. She emphasized how effective leadership can be distilled into simple, actionable steps. Through her engaging presentation, the students learned how to lead with clarity and purpose, understanding that leadership is not just about authority but about empowering others and fostering a collaborative environment.
Following Ms. Rina’s session, the college’s counsellor, Ms. Zaneta D’Mello, took the stage. She conducted a series of interactive, practical-oriented sessions designed to reinforce the values of teamwork and unity among the student leaders. Through various games and activities, Ms. Zaneta highlighted the importance of uplifting fellow students and working together cohesively as a team. Her dynamic approach not only engaged the students but also encouraged them to apply these lessons in their roles as leaders within the college.
This workshop was a crucial step in preparing the Student Council and class representatives to lead effectively, fostering a spirit of cooperation and shared responsibility that will benefit the entire student community.
