New Delhi:Tata Consultancy Services has stated that it did not receive any internal complaints regarding the allegations under investigation at its Nashik unit, as police continue probing claims of misconduct and attempted religious conversion. The company clarified that a preliminary review of its internal systems, including ethics and prevention of sexual harassment channels, found no record of complaints matching the nature of the allegations.
The firm also announced the formation of an oversight panel to examine the matter internally, with independent director Keki Mistry appointed to lead the committee. External experts have also been engaged to ensure an impartial review process.
The case came to light following a complaint by a woman who accused a colleague, Danish Sheikh, of entering into a relationship with her under the false promise of marriage while already being married. Police investigations have since expanded, with multiple individuals arrested and additional complainants coming forward alleging harassment and misconduct over a period spanning several years.
Authorities have also named Nida Khan in connection with the case. However, the company clarified that she was not part of its human resources leadership and did not hold any managerial or recruitment responsibilities, describing her role as that of a process associate.
Law enforcement agencies are continuing efforts to locate Khan, who is reportedly seeking anticipatory bail. Meanwhile, several employees linked to the case have been suspended by the company.
TCS reiterated its zero tolerance stance on harassment and misconduct, stating that it is fully cooperating with investigating authorities. The company’s leadership has described the allegations as serious and emphasised the need for a thorough and transparent inquiry to establish facts and ensure accountability.
The investigation remains ongoing, with both police and internal processes working in parallel to determine the extent of the allegations and the roles of those involved.
