*Task Force Committee has recommended resumption of classes from Nov 22

PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that the task force committee has recommended to reopen schools and that the final decsion will be taken by Education Department.
“Task Force Committe has given a green signal to resume schools. Final decision will be taken by the eductaion department. In my opinion the final decsion would be taken by Saturday after consulting all stakeholders,” said CM Sawant speaking to media after the task force meeting
He further said that the education department has been asked ti submit a detailed plan of those schools which have large number os students.
Last week the Expert Committee of medical professionals had recommended that the classes should commence for this group of students in physical mode. Detailed circulars and SOPs will be issued by the Education Department shortly regarding covid appropriate behavior, staggered timing etc,” said Dr Shekhar Salkar
School assembly will not be permitted and the schools will be asked to ensure that crowding does not happen in their premises.
“If cases increase we will curtail the classes,” Dr Salkar said. Three months back govt had already given permission for starting of classes from Std 9th onwards.
