MAPUSA: Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza laid the foundation stone for the beautification and illumination of Shree Bodgeshwar Temple in Mapusa, one of the town’s most cherished spiritual landmarks.
The temple holds a special place in the hearts of Mhapshekars, reflecting the deep-rooted faith, traditions and cultural identity of the local community. The proposed project aims to enhance the temple premises and improve illumination, adding to the surroundings of the revered landmark while preserving its spiritual significance for future generations.
The initiative is expected to improve the overallq ambience of the temple परिसर and enhance its appeal for devotees and visitors, while retaining its traditional and religious character.
Present on the occasion were Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte, Saligao MLA and Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) Chairman Kedar Naik, GTDC Managing Director Kuldeep Arolkar, and members of the Shree Bodgeshwar Temple Committee.
The project marks an initiative to improve the surroundings of the historic temple while maintaining its importance as a centre of faith, tradition and community life in Mapusa.
