He further said that Goa is eagerly anticipating the commencement of the G20 meetings, with a sense of a solemn responsibility to contribute our bit towards creating a better world for all.
Sawant also expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, for bestowing immense pride and honour upon Goa and choosing us to host the esteemed G20 meetings within the precincts of our humble state.
“I extend a cordial welcome to the distinguished delegates of the G20 nations to the picturesque land of Goa,” he added.
Delegates from Switzerland and the USA, who will be taking part in a G20 meeting on health in Goa next week, arrived in the state on Saturday.
This is the first group of international delegates arriving in Goa for the three-day Second Health Working Group G20 Meeting commencing on April 17.
