PANAJI: Gautam Khattar’s Instagram account has been restricted in India following a legal request linked to the controversy over his alleged remarks concerning St Francis Xavier in Goa.
Sources indicate that the restriction applies to users accessing the platform from within India, though the account may remain visible in other regions.
The development comes amid mounting backlash and multiple complaints from various groups and local communities.
Highly placed sources further said that a Goa Police team visited Khattar’s residence, but he was not found there. Police are now reportedly tracking other possible locations and have camped in Dehradun as part of the search operation.
Sources also suggest that a Look Out Circular (LOC) may soon be issued across airports to prevent him from leaving the country, even as the investigation continues to gather pace.
