GFDC Chairman Brahmanand Shankhwalkar said. “The one-day festival was conducted as per the guidelines issued by the AFC. It was a joyous occasion to witness budding footballers, their trainers, coaches, and parents participate in the festival. As GFDC focuses on grassroots development, it was a nice initiative to commemorate the AFC Grassroots Football Day”.
While the Member Secretary, Deepesh Priolkar, lauded the coaches and centre heads for organising such a celebratory atmosphere for the kids.
“Grassroots football plays an important role in trying to keep the sporting culture alive in children. On this day, children indulged in juggling, dribbling and small-sided games,” said Priolkar.
