PANAJI: Goa Medical College (GMC) is introducing changes in patient care and hospital nutrition, with traditional steel plates being replaced by covered Cambro plates and curd being added to patients’ lunch.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said the changes were aimed at improving everyday patient care and ensuring better nutrition for those admitted to the hospital.
According to Rane, protein-rich nutritional feeds are also being provided to patients who require assisted nutrition as part of their treatment and recovery.
“Patient well-being” remains at the centre of the initiatives, Rane said, adding that the government would continue efforts to strengthen Goa’s healthcare system.
The minister said the measures were part of ongoing improvements at GMC aimed at making patient care more thoughtful and responsive to their needs.
