PANAJI: Goa’s Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, conducted a comprehensive review of 358 budgetary proposals on Monday.
He urged the concerned departments to promptly update the status of their projects on the budget portal to help track planned infrastructure development.
During a meeting with secretaries and department heads, the Chief Minister deliberated on the progress of the recently announced budgetary initiatives.
Pramod Sawant also unveiled plans to establish a monitoring mechanism similar to the Gati Shakti portal, aimed at ensuring comprehensive oversight of projects across various government departments. Emphasizing the importance of transparency, Sawant highlighted that this new system will facilitate a time-bound delivery of commitments, thereby bolstering Goa’s development trajectory.
In February, Pramod Sawant presented a budget of Rs 26,855 crores, indicating a revenue surplus of Rs 1,704 crore.
