MARGAO: The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) held a strategic planning and organisational strengthening meeting with representatives from all 40 Assembly constituencies, focusing on strengthening the party’s grassroots network and preparing for the upcoming elections.
The meeting was held at Grace Majestic Hotel in Margao and was presided over by AICC In-charge for Goa Manikrao Thakare. GPCC President Girish Chodankar, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao and Working Presidents M. K. Shaikh, Adv. Carlos Alvares Ferreira, Altone D’Costa and Sunil Kawthankar were present.
District Presidents Assis Noronha, Rajesh Verekar, Shashank Narvekar and Mangaldas Naik also attended the meeting, along with Mahila Congress Chief Pratiksha Khalap, Goa Pradesh Youth Congress President Archit Naik, Seva Dal Chief Organiser Rajan Ghate and other GPCC office-bearers.
Block Presidents and executive members representing all 40 constituencies participated in the deliberations and shared constituency-level feedback, suggestions and organisational inputs.
The discussions focused on strengthening booth-level structures, improving coordination among party workers, expanding public outreach and increasing the participation of grassroots workers in organisational activities.
The Congress leadership stressed the importance of unity, discipline and collective responsibility, while calling for sustained engagement with people across the state. Strategies to raise issues concerning Goans and build a stronger and more responsive party organisation were also discussed.
The participation of leaders and workers from all 40 constituencies reflected the party’s focus on strengthening its organisation at every level ahead of the elections.
The meeting concluded with the leadership calling upon party workers and office-bearers to work collectively and take the Congress message of unity, service and commitment to the people to every household in Goa.
