NEW DELHI: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao and AICC In-charge for Goa Manikrao Thakare met AICC General Secretary (Organisation) and MP K.C. Venugopal in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The Congress leaders held discussions on strengthening the party organisation in Goa, energising its grassroots network and consolidating the party across all 40 Assembly constituencies.
The meeting also reviewed preparations for the visit of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge to Goa on August 17.
Kharge is scheduled to interact with Congress booth-level workers, Block Committees, frontal organisations and District and State office-bearers during his visit. The programme is aimed at strengthening the party’s organisational machinery from the grassroots level.
The leaders stressed the need for greater coordination, stronger grassroots engagement and sustained organisational efforts to build a united and election-ready Congress in Goa.
The meeting reaffirmed the leadership’s commitment to strengthening the party organisation and empowering Congress workers at every level ahead of the upcoming political challenges in the state.
