PANAJI: In a move to strengthen school education and enhance student learning outcomes in the State, Goa CSR Authority in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Kotak Education Foundation at Mantralaya, Porvorim.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said that this initiative will further upgrade the education structure in the State. We have already introduced Robotics, AI technology education for school students and Goa is ahead in primary as well as higher education as compared to other States. Collaboration with Kotak Education Foundation will further benefit in skilling, reskilling of students and education system, he added.

Vijay Saxena Principal Advisor, Goa CSR Authority Dr. M.B.Gururaj Director, Higher Education Shri. Bhushan Sawaikar, Director, Education Shri. Shailesh Sinai Zingde, Member Secretary, Goa Konkani Academy Smt. Meghana Shetgaonkar, OSD to Goa CSR Authority and Joint Director, Information & Publicity Shri. Ganraj Morajkar and others were present for the MoU exchange programme.
Kotak Education Foundation which is CSR implementing agency of Kotak Mahindra Group partnering with Goa CSR Authority, registered under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs will execute need based programs under “Kotak Kshamata (Kindling ScHolastic Acumen and Mediating Academic and Technological Awareness). It will focus in Teacher and School leader capacity building across communicative English, Pedagogy and leveraging the prevailing Digital Infrastructure of school for Government and aided schools of grade I to X in Goa over a period of five years.
CEO, Kotak Education Foundation Dr. Ganesh Raja said that Kotak Kshamata aims to provide systematic support in capacity building in teaching, learning and sustainability thereby changing the landscape of education. In collaboration with the State government and other key stakeholders, it will be instrumental in cultivating teacher leaders and nurturing academic growth.
Goa CSR is involved with partnering with institution, Corporate and Government for obtaining CSR Support in different natures like financial, technology, training and services as per Companies Act in various fields like health, education, environment, tourism etc. to develop Goa towards Fit Goa, Skill Goa and Inclusive Goa.
