PANAJI: The Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB) has approved a diverse portfolio of investment proposals worth approximately ₹622 crore across manufacturing, hospitality, education, electronics, shipbuilding and emerging technology sectors, with the projects expected to generate around 3,180 employment opportunities in the State.
The approvals were granted during the 42nd Board Meeting of the Goa-IPB, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant at Mahalaxmi, Altinho, Panaji. The meeting was attended by Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho, GIDC Chairman and MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, along with members of the Board.
According to the Chief Minister, the approved proposals cover a wide range of sectors, including automotive components, optical instruments manufacturing, electronics and technology development centres, advanced fabrication units, hospitality projects, educational institutions and Global Capability Centre (GCC) infrastructure.
The Board also deliberated on the proposed Large-Scale Industries Incentive Scheme, which has been formulated following consultations with industry stakeholders, prospective investors and government officials. The proposal has been forwarded for further evaluation and approval.
Dr. Sawant said the approvals reaffirm Goa’s growing appeal as a destination for sustainable and high-value investments. He reiterated the State Government’s commitment to creating an industry-friendly ecosystem that promotes innovation, attracts quality investments, generates employment opportunities and supports the vision of a Swayampurna Goa.
