PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that Goa is leading the way with its Coding And Robotics curriculum at the school level.
“Technology is the key to unlocking the future, and Goa is leading the way with its Coding And Robotics curriculum at the school level. As the first state in India to introduce these cutting-edge subjects, we are empowering our youth to embrace the digital revolution and drive innovation in the years to come,’ said Sawant
He further said that on this National Technology Day, let us pledge to continue to inspire and motivate our students to pursue careers in technology and create a brighter tomorrow.
As many as 5,940 students from the state would undergo the advanced curriculum in the lead schools. The delivery of the equipment for upgradation of information and communication technology (ICT) labs in schools has commenced. As on date, 600 ICT equipment have been delivered to 60 lead schools under phase I.
It was also decided that in the next phase of ICT equipment delivery, 3,700 ICT equipment would be supplied to the remaining 375 government and aided schools in the state.
As part of the training, the empowered committee approved the TFG-Fellows to undergo training in the state and in the institutes of national importance. To boost talent and interest of school students, the empowered committee also approved state-level student hackathons and other competitions during the current academic year.
