PORVORIM: The Twelfth Session of the Eighth Legislative Assembly of the State of Goa has been summoned to commence on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 11.30 a.m., as per an order issued by the Governor of Goa on December 16, 2025.
In accordance with Article 176(1) of the Constitution of India, the Hon’ble Governor will address the Assembly on the opening day of the session at 11.30 a.m. in the Assembly Hall at Porvorim.
The address will outline the causes for summoning the House.
Members of the Legislative Assembly have been requested to be present in the House by 11.20 a.m. on the day of the Governor’s address.
After the Governor’s address, the Secretary to the Legislature will lay a copy of the address on the Table of the House, following which copies will be distributed to Members and others.
The Twelfth Session will comprise five sittings, scheduled from Monday, January 12, 2026, to Friday, January 16, 2026.
