MAPUSA: The Saligao Police on Wednesday recovered stolen booty from the accused in a theft case reported at Salmona vaddo, Saligao.
Police said that at Saligao PS, crime No. 15/2023 U/s 380 IPC was registered on April 6, for theft of Gold Ornaments ie Mangalsutra weighing 37 grms, one Chain with 2 lockets 26 grms, two pair of earrings weighing 4 grams, Patli (single) weighing 12 grms, 7) 05 bangles weighing 40 grms, 08) Nath weighing 02 grms, 09), 02 finger rings weighing 08 grms all W/Rs 2,90,000/-approximately from one house at Salmona waddo Saligao.
Accused Prajakta Khavnekar, age-22 years /o Kudal, Maharashtra was arrested and remanded into 06 days of Police custody.
During the course of the investigation, all the stolen booty ie Mangalsutra, Patli, 05 Bangles, Earrings, Nath and Melted Gold, have been recovered at the instance of the accused from different places at saligao and Kudal Maharashtra.
ASI Suryakant Kolvalkar is further investigating the case under the supervision of PI Milind Bhuimbar.
