PANAJI: The Goa T20 Bash leather ball cricket tournament is all set to begin from May 25 at the BITS Pilani Ground in Zuarinagar, bringing together some of the state’s promising cricketers for an exciting season of competitive T20 action. Organised by the Shiroda Cricket Club and affiliated with the Goa Cricket Association, the tournament is expected to provide a major platform for young players to showcase their talent.
A total of six franchise teams will participate in the competition, which has been planned with the objective of promoting grassroots cricket and creating greater opportunities for emerging players across Goa. Organisers believe the event will help strengthen the local cricketing structure while giving talented youngsters valuable exposure in a professional and competitive environment.
The tournament is also expected to feature several Ranji Trophy players who have represented Goa, adding experience and quality to the matches. Their participation is likely to offer younger cricketers an opportunity to learn from seasoned performers and understand the demands of higher level cricket.
