Panaji: The Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC), in coordination with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, will organise a state level workshop on “Leveraging Free Trade Agreements (FTAs)” on October 19, 2026, in Panaji.
The workshop will be held from 10 am to 5.30 pm at Terminal Banquets, Caculo Enclave, St. Inez. The programme is part of a nationwide outreach initiative aimed at increasing awareness about the opportunities available under India’s Free Trade Agreements and encouraging businesses to make greater use of preferential access to international markets.
The initiative seeks to familiarise exporters, manufacturers and industry stakeholders with the potential benefits of FTAs, which can help eligible Indian businesses access overseas markets under favourable trade conditions. Greater awareness of these agreements can support businesses in exploring export opportunities and expanding their international presence.
DITC has invited industry associations, micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) associations, manufacturers, exporters and other relevant stakeholders from across Goa to participate in the workshop.
The programme will provide an opportunity for participants to engage in discussions on leveraging trade agreements and understanding the market access opportunities available to Indian businesses.
To ensure wider participation, arrangements are also being made for stakeholders who are unable to attend the programme in person to join online.
Interested manufacturers, exporters and other industry representatives are encouraged to register for the workshop and take advantage of the outreach initiative.
