FATORDA: Goa Forward Party (GFP) President and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai today said that Goa will present to the nation a result that every liberal, secular and democratic will look forward to.
“You have heeded the call of a country in distress. Your efforts, I assure you, will make a difference, and Goa will present to the nation a result that every liberal, secular and democratic Indian looks forward to, and deserves,” said Vijai
He further said that by participating in our electoral process in large numbers, you’ve displayed once again your political discernment and your unwavering commitment to the idea of parliamentary democracy.

Sardesai also has demanded an inquiry into the episode when a woman was caught casting her vote by taking a photograph on a cell phone.
Sardesai said he had spoken to the Chief Electoral Officer to order an inquiry, failing which he threatened to move the Election Commission of India.
He claimed the woman voter had taken the photo to prove to a BJP leader that she had voted for the BJP and to secure her transfer from Panaji to Margao.
