VASCO: Minister for Transport Mauvin Godinho said that the unity and tranquility of Goan society in Goa should be upheld. Godinho opined Goans would not fall prey to any divisive statements made by any individual.
On Saturday, during an event at Vaddem, speaking to the reporters, Minister for Transport Mauvin Godinho said that no individual is above the brotherhood, unity, and harmony of Goa’s communities.
He further said that Goans would not fall prey to any individual making any divisive statements against something in Goa. Goa has been known for its unity and communal harmony in various communities in Goa for ages.
It may be recalled that recently controversy was sparked after former RSS leader Subhash Velingkar made a statement refusing St Francis Xavier’s status of ‘Goencho Saib’ and calling Goa ‘Parshuram Bhumi’.
