The 10-year-old showcased her talent and composure by winning three consecutive matches to reach the quarterfinals. She began her campaign with a convincing 15-7, 15-9 victory over Uttar Pradesh’s Shinaya Srivastava in the Round of 64.
Amaira then produced one of the standout performances of her campaign by defeating third seed Stuthi S. Shetty of Karnataka 15-9, 15-7 in the Round of 32. The victory against a seeded opponent highlighted her growing confidence and ability to compete against higher-ranked players on the national circuit.
Continuing her impressive run, the young Goan shuttler overcame Andhra Pradesh’s Praharshani Nithya Udatha 16-14, 15-10 in the Round of 16. The hard-fought win secured her place in the quarterfinals and strengthened her position among the promising young badminton players competing at the national level.
Amaira also participated in the Girls’ Doubles Under-13 category, partnering Saina Sharma of Telangana. The duo began their campaign with a 15-6, 15-13 victory over Maharashtra’s Priya Amburle and Agrima Rana in the Round of 32.
However, their doubles journey ended in the next round after they lost 12-15, 13-15 to Maharashtra’s third-seeded pair of Hazel Joshi and Divisha Singh in a closely contested Round of 16 encounter.
