MAPUSA: In a major achievement for Goa’s medical community, Dr. Milind Gudyekar, a resident of Guirim in Mapusa, has made history by becoming the State’s first post-MD forensic specialist to clear the prestigious Diplomate of National Board (DNB) examination in Forensic Medicine.
The examination, conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), New Delhi, during the December 2025 session, is considered one of the toughest in the field, with a notably low pass rate.
Dr. Gudyekar is the only candidate from Goa to have appeared for this challenging exam in forensic medicine and has successfully cleared it on his very first attempt, marking a rare accomplishment.
This milestone is regarded as one of the highest academic achievements in the field of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology in Goa, bringing pride to the State at the national level.
His success is expected to inspire young medical professionals to pursue specialised careers in forensic sciences.
