PONDA: Governor of Goa, PS Sreedharan Pillai, today visited the historic Safa Masjid along with Officials of Safa Masjid. He also planted a coconut tree near Safa Masjid.
Later speaking to the media, he said the spiritual truth is one and all ways of devotion reach to the same fact.
He praised the unique unity of Hindus, Muslims and Catholics who prevailed in Goa and stressed preserving it.
He said Citizens should respect all religions.
Ibrahim Adil Shah built the Safa Masjid in 1560 AD as per the Board displayed by the Archeological Survey of India.
Governor later proceeds to visit ancient Tambdi Surla and other temples in Dharbandora.
