PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant Said that Goa is trying to develop film culture and the film industry.
“Last 18 years, we have been celebrating the International Film Festival of India (IFFI); we could develop film culture in Goa because of IFFI. Our endeavours are there to develop the film industry,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that his government is supporting Konkani and Marathi films.
“If we get support from all of you, then we will develop film culture well. Goa has given many actors to the film industry,” he added.
Chief Minister also said that the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) is working to grow the film culture in Goa.
“I congratulate Shetye for successfully organizing the Film Festival in Goa for 13 years. We are developing a Film-Cinema Culture in Goa,” he added.
Sawant said that IFFI celebrated in Goa has expanded the opportunities and avenues for the Film Industry in the State.
“The Govt. Of Goa shall continue to build the necessary infrastructure for further development and support of the film industry,” he added.
