CANACONA: In a first after months of last assembly elections, a joint meeting for various upcoming projects in Canacona municipal area was held in the absence of Canacona MLA/Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar by GSUDA Officials/Consultants with the Canacona Municipal Council on Friday.
According to sources in Speakers office, the Speaker (on an official foreign tour) directed for holding a joint meeting for various projects in the jurisdiction of Canacona Municipality such as upcoming new Modernized Fish market under GSUDA and New Public Toilet under PWD/ Sulabh has been organized on Friday.
The meeting was attended and chaired by Chairperson Ramakant Naik Gaonkar, and CMC Vice- Chairperson Nadin Fernandes, Councilors Simon Rebello, Hemant Naik Gaonkar, Amita Pagi, and Gandesh Madgaonkar were also present.
GSUDA Consultant Datta Kare and Sulabh official Brijesh Kumar briefed and also took part toi discuss the plans and various facilities in the upcoming projects.
The team also visited sites of the proposed Fish-Market and Pay Toilet at Chawdi and noted various discripancies and grievances needed to be addressed.
Canacona BJP Canacona President Vishal Desai, General Secretary Diwakar Pagi were also part of the discussion held in the meeting.
