PANAJI: The Bombay High Court at Goa has quashed and set aside the bail granted to Yaniv Benahin Benaim, alias Atala, by the North Goa NDPS Court in a narcotics case registered by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC).
Atala was arrested in April 2025 in connection with the alleged possession of cocaine and charas. The North Goa NDPS Court had earlier granted him bail.
Allowing the challenge to the bail order, the High Court directed the lower court to reconsider Atala’s bail application afresh in accordance with law.
The High Court, however, clarified that Atala will not be taken into custody until the lower court decides the bail plea again, thereby granting him interim protection while the matter is reconsidered.
