PONDA: Rain shower relief to Pondaitees, however roads dug for power cabling turned dangerous.
Since past few days people were suffering due to heatwave.
There was also water shortage due to absence of rain ,however since today early morning there were people witnessed rain three times which also brought down temperature.
Roads dug in Marcaim and various parts of Ponda turned slippery and several bike riders fell from mud it’s slush flown on road.
The locals are upset that despite long summer the power department failed to restore roads and now the gutter water is flowing on main road. It has become dangerous to walk or drive vehicles on road dug for power cabling and not restored properly.
The locals has urged various Panchayat bodies to undertake gutter cleaning work so as to prevent water and mud flowing on road and making it slippery.
