PORVORIM: The High Court has clubbed a fresh Public Interest Litigation (PIL) related to the Birch fire incident with the suo motu PIL that was earlier initiated by the court in the matter.
The suo motu proceedings were taken up by the High Court earlier this week following the tragic fire incident.
With the tagging of the new PIL, the court has decided to hear both petitions together to allow a comprehensive and coordinated examination of all issues arising from the case.
The High Court has fixed January 12 as the next date of hearing for the tagged petitions. The move is aimed at streamlining the proceedings and ensuring that all concerns connected with the Birch fire incident are addressed collectively, as the court continues to closely monitor the matter.
