BORIM: The Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department’s Flying Squad, along with the office of the Deputy Collector, Margao, has reported a case of illegal hill cutting at Borim village in Ponda. The complaint, lodged by Cybil Lobo, TCP draftsman at the Tiswadi office, stated that on October 5, 2025, hill cutting activity was found being carried out at TNK area, Borim, by the property owner without obtaining permission from the competent authority.
Following the complaint, Ponda Police have initiated a probe into the matter. The investigation is being carried out by PSI Chetan Naik of Ponda Police Station.
