PANAJI: Investment Promotion Board (IPB) has approved 3 projects with proposed investment of Rs.165 Crore and an employment potential of 1338 people.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired the 34th Board Meeting of Goa-IPB. Industries and Panchayat Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho, GIDC Chairman and MLA Shri Aleixo Reginaldo and the Board Members were present.
The Board approved 3 projects with proposed investment of Rs.165 Crore and an employment potential of 1338 people.
The Board discussed matters related to Online Single Window System for the Govt to Business Services as well as the creation of Common Application Form.
The Board reviewed the progress of ongoing projects.
Industries Minister, Mauvin Godinho, stated that the government promotes exclusively clean and non-polluting industries.
He added that some companies with foreign collaboration are eager to set up their industries in Goa.
“In Goa, we do not encourage or allow polluting industries. Only green industries are welcome. Among existing industries, we compel them to follow the pollution norms of the highest standards,” he said
Goa Industrial Growth and Investment Promotion Policy 2022 will be amended to ensure that new industries employ locals across all sectors after giving them proper training.
