PANAJI: Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) claims that it has helped Goa Police solve three thefts and one hit-and-run case in Panaji.
IPSCDL, which is a special purpose vehicle to implement Smart City Mission, in Panaji, has laid several cameras in the city, which has helped detect crimes.
“Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago” With our network of 382 nos. CCTV cams, having multiple AI capabilities like facial recognition, automatic number plate recognition, traffic violation identification etc,” said IPSCDL’s twitter handle.
Further, it added Panaji Smart City, along with Goa Police is working eruditely on surveillance & security of our Panaji.
“Eg: Case 1 – Theft case caught near Mustifund School, Case 2 – Theft case caught near Marry Immaculate church, Case 3 – Hit and run case caught near Indoor Stadium, Case 4 – Theft case at High Court,” it said.
SP North Goa Nidhin Valsan acknowledged the help of Smart city and posted “Thank you @ImaginePanaji”.
