CANACONA: Stating people from across the globe are coming to India to learn Indian culture, Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar asserted we as Indians should learn and spread the Sanskrit Language across all around.
Tawadkar was speaking as the Chief Guest at the ‘Gitamrutam’ mass recitation program organised by Sanskrit Bharati-Goa, Education and Village Development Center-Canacona, and Goa State Official Language Directorate at Shri Gaitonde Grounds at Chaudi.
Speaking further Tawadkar, ‘Germans have also started learning Sanskrit language. Sanskrit language is the mother of all languages and we should understand the importance of Sanskrit language and tell it to others as well. The spread of Sanskrit language is the need of the hour. Sanskrit language is the oldest language of all and the old is the same as said about gold.’
On this occasion Akhil Bharti Sanskrit co-educational head Sachin Karge, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Dhania, Shri Mallikarjun Devalayala president Vithoba Desai, President of the organization Dilkush Shet, President of Sanskrit Bharati Anand Desai, President of Parashuram Devasthan Committee Uday Prabhu Desai were present.
In the beginning, it was inaugurated by lighting the Traditional Lamp amidst chanting of mantras.
‘Foreigners are curious about everything in our country. We should also think positively’,. Speaker Ramesh Tavadkar asserted that government will give full support for Sanskrit language.
In his welcome speech Vithoba Dessai, said, ‘We are forgetting our true culture due to the influence of western culture.
‘Bhagavad Gita should not only be read by old people but also by those youths who have full strength in their body, it has everything in it. All the thoughts that we have in our mind are in it’, Sachin Karge said.
Abhisekh Dhania, ‘Keep working without expecting fruit. Even if you don’t pass in education, you can do it, but show good performance. Leadership quality is important today.’
Thousands of students and more than 400 seniors from 14 schools of Canacona region participated in this program and recited the 12th and 15th chapters/verses from Bhagwad Gita, collectively
Shree Damodar Vidyalaya, Shraddhanand Vidyalaya, Balaram Residential School, Government School Gaadongrim, Shri Nirankar School Tudal, Government School Khotigao, Government School Sadolxem, Balram Day-Care Vidyalaya Shristhall, Government School Shristthal, Khalwade Vidyalaya, Katyayani Baneshwar Vidyalaya, Mataji Mandir Tembewada, Dayanand Bandodkar Vidyalaya, were amongst the schools participated in reciting verses from Geeta.
Students of Sangeet Vidyalaya as well as students of Damodar Vidyalaya presented cultural programs. Teacher Bakre moderated.
