VERNA: Verna Police have registered a theft case against a Karnataka native for allegedly stealing a scooter parked outside a warehouse in the Verna Industrial Development Corporation (IDC).
According to police, the complaint was lodged by Akhtar Hussain Khan, a resident of Chandrawada, Fatorda, who reported that his Suzuki Access scooter, valued at approximately ₹50,000, was stolen on September 15, 2025, at around 8.20 pm.
Police said the scooter had been parked in the open parking area outside Saaj Traders Warehouse in the Verna IDC when the accused, identified as Mahmad Akyif Makanadar, allegedly stole the vehicle.
Based on the complaint, Verna Police have registered an offence under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Further investigation is being carried out by Head Constable Sandeep Naik of Verna Police Station under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
