PERNEM/ CURCHOREM: Tourism Minister, Rohan Khaunte and PWD Minister, Nilesh Cabral attended Janata Darbar, an initiative of the State Government to reach out to people, organised by Office of the Collector, South Goa today at Ravindra Bhavan, Curchorem.
Khaunte heard various grievances of the people at the Janta Darbar and gave assurance to solve the same at the earliest.
Chairperson, Curchorem Cacora Municipal Council, Pradip Naik; Chairperson, Quepem, Smt Suchita Shirwaikar; Chairperson, Sanguem, Smt Priti Naik; Zilla Panchayat Member, Xeldem, Shri Siddharth Gauns Dessai; Collector, Ashwin Chandru, IAS; Additional Collector, Dipak Dessai were present on the occasion.
Addressing the public, Khaunte said, electricity is an important component in every household and urged officials to give special attention to see that uninterrupted power supply gets to every household.
Nilesh Cabral, PWD Minister addressing the gathering said that Janta Darbar is a good platform to communicate the grievances, inconvenience faced in any Government department by the common people. Government is always for the people and said all the issues of the public will be resolved. It is a good initiative to bring people to interact with Government officials and solve their grievances.

Deputy Collector, Quepem, Smt Egna Cleetus, IAS and Mamlatdar, Quepem, Pratap Gaonkar compered and proposed vote of thanks.
At Pernem, Minister for Transport and Panchayat, Mauvin Godinho held Janta Darbar function.
Godinho listened to the grievances raised by people present from various villages from north Goa District and issued directions to the officials concerned to resolve the issues.
Pravin Arlekar, MLA Pernem welcoming the people assured that the genuine problems will be solved by providing opportunities to all to place their Grievances before the Minister.
Jit Arolkar, MLA Mandrem also spoke on the occasion.
Kedar Naik, MLA Saligao, Collector North, Ms. Mamu Hage, IAS; Director Directorate of Industrial Trade and Commerce, Ms. Swetika Sachan, IAS; Managing Director, Goa Industrial Development Corporation, GIDC, Pravimal Abhishek; Director Directorate of Panchayat, Smt.
