MARGAO: District Collector of Kushavati, Shri Gurudas S. T. Desai, GCS, chaired the monthly review meeting of Revenue Officers on November 3, 2026, at the Mathany Saldanha Administrative Complex, Goa.
The meeting was attended by Additional Collectors, Deputy Collectors, Sub-Divisional Officers, Mamlatdars, Joint Mamlatdars, Inspectors of Survey and Land Records, Sub-Registrars-cum-Civil Registrars, the Administrator of Communidade, representatives of the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and Goa Electronics Limited, along with other senior officials.
During the meeting, the District Collector reviewed the progress of various revenue-related matters, government schemes and administrative initiatives.
Key issues discussed included the progress of Mhaje Ghar Yojana, implementation of the 20-Point Programme, regularisation of unauthorised constructions, structures on Government and Communidade lands, and matters relating to existing structures as of 1972.
The meeting also reviewed pending mutation, Mundkar, tenancy, partition and land conversion cases, encroachments on Government land, Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) matters, land demarcation, survey-related issues and the disposal of cases before Revenue Courts.
Special emphasis was laid on the effective functioning of Saturday Courts, implementation of the e-Office and Court Management Systems, and timely compliance with court directions.
Other important matters included disaster management, fire prevention, water safety and drowning prevention awareness, Census-related activities, election matters concerning the Special Summary Revision (SSR) of Electoral Rolls, and disposal of scrap and unserviceable items.
Addressing the officers, the District Collector stressed the importance of time-bound disposal of pending cases, effective monitoring, accountability and improved coordination among departments.
All officers were directed to ensure timely implementation of Government schemes, adherence to prescribed procedures and efficient delivery of public services.
