SANGUEM: BJP Sanguem candidate Subhash Faldesai emerged victorious in the Sanguem constituency, badly defeating Independent candidate Savitri Kavlekar.
Newly elected Sanguem MLA Subhash Faldesai said people of Sanguem did not fall prey to money.
Further, he said my victory credit goes to all my party committees and the BJP block committee of Sanguem.
“I am thankful to the people of Sanguem who voted for me without succumbing to any pressure,” he said.
Further, he said that this is not the first time that people of Sanguem had shown those candidates who used money power before in 2012.
“Yuri Alemao and later 2017 Bab Sanvordekar and this time Savitri Kavlekar was shown her place by the people. Sanguemkars are not for sale, and we will not fall prey to money,” Faldesai said.
Faldesai also stated that the people of Sanguem wants proper leadership to lead them.
“They chose me as a leader to lead them for the betterment of the Sanguem constituency. In Bhati panchayat, I got more voting,” he said.
Subhash Faldesai also stated that the Sanguem constituency is one of the biggest constituencies as per the area and about 1/6 of state land belongs to Sanguem and also it helps Goa’s economy in the field of mining, tourism, agriculture, water supply. For overall development in Sanguem ministry is needed Subhash,” Faldesai opined.
Bayo Bhandari BJP Sanguem block president said that Sanguem was not under BJP MLA last time, but after that, all hard work was done by BJP workers again and brought BJP in power in the Sanguem constituency.
Furthermore, he said under the self-respected Sanguemkars worked hard to bring bjp party despite some leaders working against the party, Bhandari said.
Rivona panchayat sarpanch Surya Naik said the people of Sanguem chose the person who worked for the people by taking everyone together with him.
Naik said this time, money power was used greatly, but the people of Sanguem did not fall to it.
Suresh Quepekar Zilla, a panchayat member of Rivona, said that this time people of Sanguem wanted to bring BJP candidates in power, and they did it.
Faldesai got a lead of nearly 1500 votes which is a great victory because the people of Sanguem did not fall into wrong rumours made by the opposition.
