MARGAO: Maina Curtorim Police have recovered six lost and stolen mobile phones within a week as part of a special drive launched to trace missing handsets.
The operation was carried out under the overall guidance of Superintendent of Police (South Goa) Tikam Singh Verma, IPS, SDPO (Margao) Siddhant Shirodkar, GPS, and Police Inspector Kapil B. Nayak of Maina Curtorim Police Station.
A dedicated police team used advanced technical surveillance and ground-level intelligence to trace and recover the six mobile phones from within the police station’s jurisdiction.
After completing the necessary verification and legal formalities, the recovered handsets were returned to their rightful owners.
Police said the initiative reflects Goa Police’s continued commitment to safeguarding citizens’ property by effectively using modern technology and professional investigative techniques. They added that such efforts help strengthen public confidence, ensure prompt service delivery and combat technology-enabled crimes.
